 Broken & Loved v0.8.0.a - Experimental build

This is an experimental build, it probably contain errors and bugs, however, the reason why we wanted to post this build is to give something to our Patrons this month. As we mention before a month ago, this month was not going to have a build and would be dedicated to expand the game and double work, however, everything was overwhelming we suffer a change of plans.

As all of you know by now the Twins where move to Broken & Loved 2, however, before we took this decision we tried to implement them into the game and that is why this build was suffering a lot, just implement the Twins during the first stage, it took us half of the month...

Now that we separate characters, everything is smoother but not done yet, our plan for this build is keep working and release multiple builds during this month:

  • First part: Content before the sandbox phase expanded (Current).
  • Second part: Sandbox content expanded.
  • Third part: New events and dialogues for the sandbox content.

Traits for Rei and dialogues variations.

The current build adds a lot of small dialogues related to traits, the total amount of traits in the game currently are nine traits.

Tastes in hobbies:

  • Food.
  • Videogame genre.
  • Movie genre.
  • Book genre.

Personal traits:

  • Family relationship.
  • Being introvert or extrovert.
  • School performance
  • Future plans.
  • Lustiness.

These traits have change a ton of dialogues, there is not a big amount of them, but checking each dialogue one by one was the tedious part and what take a considerable amount of time. That being said, the change is noticeable, a lot of these small dialogues change the context of a lot of events, these make a big change on the content previous the sandbox phase, for said phase the change would be bigger.

For this build because is experimental we add an option to pick all the traits at the beginning of the game, these traits would be able to be pick during dialogues and events, and also at the beginning after the player start a second playthrough, in this way showing hidden dialogues~

Broken & Loved v0.9.0 - Last dialogue expansion.

Here it is... the update that supposedly would be released just a couple of days at the beginning of the month... Yeah, there are not excuses, I know.

This build took a ton of work, way more than what I expected, at the beginning of the month I was rushing dialogues and then realized how mundane and out of character, these because how I was fighting against time... I drink tea, stay away from the PC and take some time to think before returning to work...

During this month I took two days to rest, all the remaining days where full time working but this time focusing on writing more fitting and better dialogues which ended up being the best for the game~

This update consist in the expansion of the daily dialogues with Evangeline after school, the new expressions and interaction sprites are in the new dialogues, old dialogues would be updated later. There is a ridiculous amount of new dialogues, I hope this update was worth the wait.

Friendly reminder; Evangeline only allows Rei to touch her butt in the videogame store because there they can avoid being seeing on public.

Broken & Loved 0.9.2.1- Last dialogue expansion

This newest build consist on the formal addition of traits to the game by discovering them during events and dialogues, however, after Evangeline becoming Rei's girlfriend there will be a new option to choose all the traits during the start of a new playthrough, this will allow hidden dialogues to be shown, at the moment there are few but there will be more added after the next update.

Changelog v0.8.0a:

  • Dialogues related to old and new traits.
  • Dialogues fixed in the pre-sandbox phase.
  • Now old dialogues acknowledge that Evangeline is sick, an update after the first event was re-build.

  • Fixed variables not allowing new players to have their own traits.
