Broken & Loved - Musical update [Patch notes]
Development log.
Thanks for your patience, this was way harder and complex than what I expect, and I'm not talking about the music, was the GUI changes what was really challenging. There where things that where easy to implement but time consuming, like creating 200+ for the quick menu. Other things which where just simple ideas ended up being tedious and hard to find an answer like the dynamic name-boxes and the selection of backgrounds and quick-menu colors, really hard to get around all the condition-switches, if cycles, etc., and also hard to find information about where change styles and colors for specific things... A lot of solutions I find them reading the documentation slowly and not in forums, basically studying again programming, fortunately, this makes this build probably the most polish of all, there is a little to fix, improve and to do.
A lot of solutions seems logic and really orthodox seeing the code now, but well, at the time I was really desperate to get the build release... which is here now~, music really changes how it feels, also I have to mention that I expend a lot of time just choosing the songs... I think it fits well in the game and I hope all of you enjoy it~

Now that errors are fixed, missing elements added and GUI elements improved, we will move on to the next update, as we mention in the poll, that one will take a month and a half to be completed but will be the last one before the endings. Also, we need to mention, we add a demo version of the game to the Itch.io page, is the exact same until the ending of the first important event, where... something happen... and the demo ends~

- Textbox, namebox and quick-menu buttons reworked.
- Improvements for the main menu.
- Now the game has themes for the GUI (Textbox and quick-menu) and the main menu background:
- - Blank: Default
- - Midnight: Evangeline.
- - Sunset: Female Rei.
- - Ocean: Male Rei.
- - Valley: Futanari Rei.
- Each theme gets unlock after certain point in the game.
- Options for the visibility of the textbox and theme selection on the main menu.
- Removed button to hide textbox from the quick menu, added to the preferences.
- Added dynamic namebox, it changes color depending in who is speaking.
- Added music for Rei and Evangeline important events, daily events and conversations.
- Added notifications for when a theme gets unlock or a song plays for the first time.
- New narration for when Evangeline end conversations with Rei.
- Special thanks to Ditto, for the idea of choosing themes and part of the code.

- v0.7.9.8:
- Quick menu buttons improved, now are more visible under multiple backgrounds.
- Add sound effects for traveling on bus toward Rei's house at night.

GUI improvements and music.
Now the themes get unlock and permanently added to any playthrough, each Rei theme gets unlock after playing the prologue with the respective gender, the Evangeline theme after the first important event. This also leaves open the possibility to add more themes, specifically for the Twins, also also, this allow us to implement... surprises, in the future.
Now there are multiple options for the textbox, you can hide it, leave it black while using any theme and also make it change colors automatically depending in who speaks.For the songs, we choose Lo-fi for Evangeline and Piano for Rei.
Evangeline always have this urban look with a calm personality, Lo-fi seems fitting for her, there are four themes for her, we think ended up very cute and fitting. Happiness, sadness, enjoyment, all of these sentiments delivered in a really light and subtle way through the songs, which represents what Evangeline is, showing emotions in a reserved way.
Rei is the light in the life of Evangeline, that bright and kind personality we think was delivered through those piano themes. The daily song is a Rei's song, we choose one that is soft and calm, after all, is the one that will be play it every day.
At the moment only one Rei song is present in the code of the game, two more exist but we want them for endings, specially the ones that are bad or those which involved multiple characters, then will be used~
There are two things that we want to change and add for the next build from this one: More visible menus (Done) and also sound effects for the ero scene, the bus travel and little moments like when Evangeline falls to the floor or specific moments where something sound related happen... or something like that, Idk but I have an idea about it.
